Fr. Marc Lenneman joins Patrick to discuss The Four Last Things

  • Why are the last four things?
  • (9:54) What is Death?
  • (13:32) Barbara -Purgatory: my husband died last year. What’s the Church’s teaching about how long one prays for the dead?

(20:40) Break 1

  • (22:50) Julie – Cremation: YES OR NO? If we love our Lord, do we go to hell?
  • How do we deal with the fear of purgatory
  • (32:51) Nicole – Having Masses said for the dead vs. offering my own Holy Communion for someone who has died. Is that latter a good spiritual practice?

(39:06) Break 2

  • (43:51) Jimena – Question: a second grade kid asked about when you die – do you reincarnate? How should I respond to him?
  • (46:41) Diane – Purgatory: I’m confused. Heaven is eternal, but there has to be time spent in purgatory. How does that work?
