ROSARY NOVENA: DAY 2
Have you ever wondered why Jesus’ Sacred Heart is shown with flames?
That’s how Jesus Himself showed it to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque! The image of the Sacred Heart was not dreamed up by a painter or artist. It was shown in a vision granted to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a French nun in the 1600s. In that vision, Jesus said, “My heart is so inflamed with love for men.”
Imagine that: Jesus’ heart is burning with love for you!
During this 54-Day Rosary Novena, we’ll be exploring the origins of this devotion, the mystical visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the 12 Promises of the Sacred Heart, and more. Every day I’ll also include a snippet from Pope Francis’ final encyclical on the Sacred Heart. It’s titled Dilexit Nos, which translates to “He has loved us.” (October 2024)
Perhaps one of the most important promises of the Sacred Heart is “[Jesus] will establish peace in their homes.” We constantly receive prayer intentions from listeners about struggling families and children who have left the faith. Who better to entrust them to than Jesus and His Sacred Heart?
If you have an intention that you need prayers for, join us on the Family Rosary Across America® at 7pm CT, call 888-914-9149, and share your prayer intention with me, Maggie, and the whole Family Rosary Across America audience. There is power in praying together!
