Jessica Cox has spent her entire life doing what others thought was impossible. Born without arms, she learned from an early age how to adapt using her feet, but more importantly, she learned how to trust God.
Speaking with John Morales on Morning Air, Jessica reflected on growing up in a strong Catholic family that taught her to see her challenges through the lens of faith. “My mom would often say, ‘Be patient, Jessica. God has a great plan for you,’” she shared.
That faith became the foundation for everything that followed.
As a child, Jessica learned to pray the Rosary using her toes after watching her family pray together each night. Later, Taekwondo helped her develop confidence and resilience, eventually earning a fourth-degree black belt.
But perhaps her greatest challenge was overcoming her fear of flying.
Despite being terrified of airplanes, Jessica decided to confront that fear head-on. Through determination, prayer, and trust in God, she became the world’s first licensed armless pilot, flying an unmodified airplane using only her feet.
“With God all things are possible,” Jessica said. “Faith helps you rise above fear, insecurity, and self-doubt.”
Today, Jessica travels the world sharing a message of hope and perseverance. Whether speaking openly about her Catholic faith or quietly witnessing through her example, she reminds others that their limitations do not define them.
Her story is a powerful reminder that God can work through every hardship and courage grows when we place our trust in Him.
