On the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, On Trending, Timmerie reflected on a sobering truth many Catholics avoid thinking about: Heaven is not something we should presume upon. Drawing from the Fatima apparitions and the witness of the saints, she challenged listeners to consider the seriousness of sin, the reality of Hell, and the call to live faithfully every day.
Timmerie shared a striking exchange between Sister Lucia of Fatima and St. Josemaría Escrivá. Despite receiving extraordinary graces from God, both saints expressed concern about remaining faithful until the end. “What a disaster,” Sister Lucia said, “if after all the graces we’ve received from God, we are not faithful.”
That reflection led Timmerie to revisit the powerful message of Fatima, where Our Lady showed three shepherd children a vision of Hell. Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco took the Blessed Mother’s warnings seriously, dedicating their lives to prayer, sacrifice, and penance.
Timmerie also shared a personal story involving her five-year-old daughter, who tearfully prayed that her parents would go to heaven. The emotional moment became a reminder that concern for the salvation of souls should shape how Catholics live, parent, and pray.
Rather than inspiring fear alone, Timmerie emphasized hope through repentance and conversion. Our Lady’s message at Fatima remains simple and urgent: Pray the Rosary and do penance.
As Timmerie reminded listeners, the goal of the Christian life is heaven, and every day is another opportunity to choose faithfulness to Christ.
