“My day to day duties will include visiting and encouraging Oblates around the country, planning for our works in the United States, and coordinating our efforts at the international level with Oblates from around the world,” explained Fr. Matthew.

When he begins his three-year term in March, Fr. Matthew will relocate to the Provincial House of the congregation, located in Santa Cruz, California. Despite his increasingly busy schedule, Fr. Matthew plans to continue joining his listeners each day with St. Joseph’s Workshop.

The Oblates of Saint Joseph were founded in 1878 by St. Joseph Marello, with the primary ministries of youth education, care for the poor, and assisting the local bishop with the needs of his diocese. The Oblates strive to serve Jesus and his Church in whatever way they are called, under the motto, “Do the ordinary in an extraordinary way.”

Please join us in congratulating Fr. Matthew and praying for him as he begins this new appointment and service to the Church. You can hear Fr. Matthew as the host of St. Joseph’s Workshop, Monday-Friday at 7pm ET / 4pm PT on Relevant
