Holy Week is here. It’s the most important week in the liturgical calendar, but this year feels… different. On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Normally we’d be at Mass, holding palm branches, walking in procession, and singing songs of praise to Our Lord. But today our churches are closed to public Masses and we’re quarantined at home.
You may be feeling the ache of being apart from your parish and the sacraments, especially during this week. Believe us, you’re not alone in this. We hunger to be near Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist once again, to smell the scent of incense rising to heaven, to hear the glorious music on Easter morning, and to worship him in community. We pray fervently that our churches will be able to open their doors one day soon.
But, pandemic or no pandemic, Holy Week must go on. We’re all in the same boat, so let’s celebrate together as one big virtual parish. Relevant Radio® is offering many ways for you to enter into this holiest of weeks, to celebrate the richness and beauty of the Triduum from the safety of your own home.
