So what’s the big deal about the rosary? Isn’t it a vain and repetitious prayer? Isn’t it rather simplistic? Couldn’t just anyone say it? It’s rather unoriginal, isn’t it? And yet…. Saint John Paul the Great prayed it frequently, and he was a brilliant man. Louis Pasteur prayed it, and he too was a brilliant man. The shepherd children at Fatima also prayed it in their own, simple way. It’s a simple but profound prayer that unites the family and unites the Church. The Popes have constantly recommended it. Saints have lived by it. And growing up, our family prayed it together each evening. Those were happy days, and so full of life and grace. When folks ask how Relevant Radio is making it, I simply reply: by Our Lady’s help through the rosary. And for the hundreds of thousands who have participated in the evening “Family Rosary Across America” on Relevant Radio, you know how powerful this prayer is.
