Father Kubicki – Prayer Reflections November 23, 2020

Today we celebrate the feast of Blessed Miguel Pro. He was a Mexican Jesuit who fled to California during the terrible religious persecution in the the early 20th century in Mexico. He was sent to Belgium where he studied theology and was eventually ordained a priest. Though it was dangerous, he returned to Mexico to minister to the people. He was arrested on November 18, 1927 and condemned to death. As he was being shot, he cried out “Viva Cristo Rey!” which translated means “Long live Christ the King!”
