Mother Finds Healing After Two Abortions

Recently on The Patrick Madrid Show, Patrick shared a moving poem, written by an Italian actor, Andrea Roncato, to the son he had pushed to be aborted many years before. It was incredibly emotional, and even Patrick struggled to get through the lines as he read them aloud.

Listen to the poem below:

The next day, a mother called from California after seeing Patrick’s emotional response to the poem. She admitted to Patrick that she’d had two abortions and for a long time, she didn’t like his show.

“I couldn’t stand you and Trending with Timmerie because I felt like you guys … didn’t understand. And what I couldn’t understand was that I did something wrong not once, but twice,” she explained. “…But it wasn’t that it was so much you—it was so much me that I did not want to accept the fact that I needed to confess that I had two abortions.”

Thankfully, she has returned to her faith and full communion with the Church. “Timmerie got me to Confession and I confessed twice because I wanted to make sure that the second time I was heard loud and clear,” she said.

This repentant mother spoke to Patrick about how she is working towards healing after the devastating decisions to abort two of her children.

“I’m choosing to raise the two children that I chose to allow to live with joy and happiness and I’m going to treat my two that I have with the same amount of love and patience that I could have given my two children that I aborted.”

She shared this moving picture of the loss of half of her four kids: “I have a king-size bed that fits my husband and my two kids. And the two kids that are missing are the ones that I aborted and they would fit perfectly in snuggling position with all of us.”
