Our listeners all have different backgrounds, different experiences, and different relationships with Christ and His Church. But people at all stages of their faith journey have told us that Relevant Radio helped them grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord.
A listener named Will in Minneapolis told us how Relevant Radio got him started on the journey of faith. He said, “Relevant Radio had a part to play in my conversion. Many years ago I was traveling between Minnesota and Wisconsin for my work, and I found Relevant Radio. It started me thinking.”
“This happened and that happened, and before I knew it I was heading toward the Catholic Church,” he told us. “Two years later I was baptized, and I’m very proud to be a Catholic. God has blessed me with 14 children, and I pray that God will guide them to a religious life.”
Many listeners have told us that Relevant Radio helped bring them into the Catholic Church. But even those who were raised Catholic have told us that listening to Relevant Radio kept them in the Church, and increased their love and practice of the Catholic faith.
Joanna in California said, “I did not like going to Mass before. But I have to say that ever since I started listening to Relevant Radio I love going to Mass. I actually look forward to going to Mass. I have a 6-year-old son and I explained to him why we go to Mass – to thank God for everything. It doesn’t matter if the priest is boring, or the sermon is boring, or if the kid is crying. None of that stuff bothers me. I love going to Mass now.”
Some of our listeners are quite far along in their journey of faith. They love the Catholic Church, share the Gospel with others, and serve Christ in their everyday lives. But many of our listeners who are devoted Catholics have told us that listening to Relevant Radio helped take their faith to the next level. They were encouraged to not settle or become complacent, but seek more holiness and intimacy with the Lord in their lives.
A listener named Denise in New Jersey told us, “After listening to Relevant Radio for the past year or so and hearing about fasting periodically, I decided to do it a little more seriously. But I did a liquid fast, and I would cheat quite a bit. I wasn’t serious about it.”
“One day I was listening to Drew Mariani talking about the #FastforLife. And that really got my attention. I thought if I’m going to do this I have to be serious about it and give myself to the Lord. So I decided to do a bread and water fast on Wednesdays and Fridays, and it has changed my life.”
