For months, we’ve been anticipating the arrival of our rosary contest winners, the Oliveira family. And finally, the wait is over! The Oliveira’s arrived in Green Bay on the morning of October 7th and they were greeted by none other than Father Rocky himself.
Michael (father), Lindsey (mother), Parker, Payton, and Penley were then welcomed into the offices of Relevant Radio for a brief tour. As they traveled throughout the building, Father Rocky pointed out the different workspaces and studios, the significance of each piece of art, and the different devotions that Relevant Radio has. The three pillars of Relevant Radio’s mission are our fidelity to the Magisterium and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, our union with the bishops, and our constant protection under the Blessed Virgin Mary. So naturally, one of our biggest devotions is to Mary, namely Our Lady of Guadalupe.
After the tour, the Oliveria’s were able to attend Mass in the Chapel of the Nativity, the chapel on site of the Green Bay offices. Following Mass, the family was able to meet with Drew Mariani, have lunch, and continue their tour into the studio where they would be joining him for The Drew Mariani Show. Drew brought Mike and Lindsey on for the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and they were able to pray with you – all of our listeners!
After a brief break, the Oliveira’s returned to Relevant Radio for a very special evening. The whole reason they found out about the contest was because of their involvement and participation in the 54-Day Novena and the Family Rosary Across America. So that night, they were able to share their story and the impact the rosary had on their spiritual lives. Michael and Lindsey attested to the structure and intimacy that the Family Rosary has brought to their family, especially their children. Parker, Payton, and Penley were so enthusiastic about saying the daily rosary, and it was Parker who urged them to enter the contest! He even hand-made a special rosary and map for Father Rocky and the whole FRAA family.
Their trip also included a visit to the National Shrine of St. Joseph and participation in the Mass at the shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.
Their visit was a blessing to us all and we are so happy they were able to make it. The Oliveira family is a living testament to the beauty, love, and joy that we can all experience if we stay close to Our Lord and Our Lady. We hope that they and all of our listeners will continue to join us for the Holy Rosary each night at 7pm CT.
