- Ezekiel The façade of the temple was toward the East which is exactly what is. Ezekial was in exile at the time and died in Babylon. The temple had been destroyed and he describing a Temple that was to be rebuilt. He is describing the rebuilt Temple but not the one that was rebuilt after the return from the exile in Babylon.
