The 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage: Pray with Us as One Nation Under God

As the United States prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, Catholics across the country are being invited to take part in a powerful public witness of faith through the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. Carrying the theme “One Nation Under God,” the pilgrimage will stretch from St. Augustine, Florida, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, concluding on July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of our nation’s birth.

The pilgrimage begins Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine, near the site of the first Catholic Mass celebrated on what would become American soil. From there, perpetual pilgrims carrying the Blessed Sacrament will travel up the Eastern Seaboard through many of the original thirteen colonies, stopping in historic dioceses, parishes, and communities along the way. The route includes visits to the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the nation’s first Catholic diocese, and the Archdiocese of Boston before concluding in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.

The theme, “One Nation Under God,” points to the need for spiritual renewal in American life through Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Pilgrims are encouraged to pray for the country, offer sacrifices for national healing, and seek unity rooted in the Gospel.

The journey will pass through urban neighborhoods, rural towns, and historic Catholic communities across the East Coast. Participating dioceses include St. Augustine, Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, Richmond, Arlington, Washington, Baltimore, Providence, and Philadelphia, along with many more. View a full list of participating dioceses here.

At a time when division, uncertainty, and secularism continue to shape much of American culture, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage offers Catholics an opportunity to publicly proclaim that true unity begins with Christ. Through prayer, Eucharistic devotion, and pilgrimage, participants hope to help lead the nation back to the heart of the Gospel, one soul at a time.

Relevant Radio will take part in the opening of the pilgrimage with a special live broadcast of the Family Rosary Across America from St. Augustine on May 24, 2026. The National Eucharistic Pilgrims will join families around the country in praying for the renewal of the nation and for a deeper love of Christ in the Eucharist.
