Understanding Desolation And Consolation – The Inner Life – September 21, 2026

On today’s Inner Life, Fr. Allen Hoffa joins to discuss transformative encounters in adoration.

  • What expectations should we have in Adoration?
  • The threshold of the doorway before getting into Adoration.
  • Martha – I started going to adoration 3 years ago, and a priest suggested I go every week. It has completely changed my life. I can’t go without it now.
  • Break 1
  • Vince – I fall asleep every time during adoration. I think it’s good I go, but maybe not good if I fall asleep. Any thoughts?
  • Eileen – I go in with the mindset of listening. It’s like an experience of strengthening a spiritual muscle.
  • Break 2
  • Gloria – I had been healed from hatred just by doing adoration.
